Can I register for both categories?
We ask all participants to focus their efforts on one category. Choose either My Big Adventure with Thomas & Friends to share an exciting story, or My Big Dreams with Barbie to tell us all about your dreams.

Does my 1-minute video submission have to have my presentation in it?
No. The 1-minute video submission is for you to introduce yourself to the judges. Selected participants will be able to make their presentation during the Audition stage of the competition.

Can my 1-minute video submission be longer than 1 minute?
We ask that all entrants keep this submission video to the 1-minute time limit out of respect for our judging panel and their fellow entrants. Submissions that go over the time limit may be deemed ineligible for consideration.  

How will participants be chosen for the auditions?
Participants will be selected based on how confidently and clearly they present themselves on camera, as well as how engaging and memorable their submission is. Judges will be looking for personality, creativity, and the ability to communicate ideas in a way that captures attention, even in a short video. It's not about being perfect, but about showing genuine expression, enthusiasm, and a strong connection to the chosen theme.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Are parents and guardians allowed to help with presentations?

With participants this young, some assistance from parents and guardians is to be expected. That said, this competition is all about instilling confidence and encouraging independence in young storytellers. We recommend parents and guardians play a supporting role and allow their young storytellers to lead the way.

What if I’m not free during one or more of the Key Dates?

We ask that all participants make themselves available for participation on all key dates of the competition. If a participant is selected to advance to a further stage of the competition but is unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts, they will lose their spot in the competition to the next most qualified participant.

How and when will participants be notified if they have been selected to advance to the next stage?

Selected participants for both the Virtual Auditions and the Grand Finals will be notified of their advancement via email. Selected participants are responsible for confirming their attendance within two (2) days of the announcement being made.

Can finalists change their presentation for the Grand Finals?
Finalists may make minor changes to their presentation based on feedback they receive from the judges at the auditions, but must stick to the same topic as their virtual audition presentation. 

CERTIFICATES & PRIZES

Will participants get a certificate for submitting a 1-min video even if they aren’t selected to advance to the next stage?

Participants who complete their registration form and submit a 1-min video that meets competition rules and specifications will be issued an electronic certificate of participation.

When will prizes be awarded to the Top 40?

Details regarding the collection or redemption of prizes will be shared at a later date.

Must I collect my child’s prize in person at the TRX Concourse at the Grand Finals?

Details regarding the collection or redemption of the shopping voucher will be shared at a later date.
